Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be proficient in various dental software systems, including Dentrix. This role involves providing high-quality dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring a comfortable experience during their visits. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional care while adhering to all safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Document patient care activities accurately in EMR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures alongside the dentist
Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout the clinic
Manage medical records and documentation review for accuracy and completeness
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures
Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in pediatric dentistry
Qualifications
Licensed to practice as a dental hygienist in the state of Georgia
Familiarity with Dentrix software systems is a plus
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is essential
Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation review, and medical coding
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining professionalism
Commitment to ongoing education and adherence to infection control standards
