Registered Dental Hygienist
Location: Ontario, Canada
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice in Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be proficient in using iTero, Dentrix, and ClearDent software systems. Our team values professionalism, exceptional patient care, and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and periodontal maintenance.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
Take digital x-rays and intraoral photos as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix and ClearDent.
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols.
Skilled in periodontal therapy, root planing
Requirements:
Diploma or degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Current registration and good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in using iTero for intraoral scanning and digital impressions.
Experience with electronic dental practice management software, specifically Dentrix and ClearDent.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients.
Confidence in discussing treatment plans and oral health recommendations with patients.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on advances in dental hygiene practices.
