Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and support overall oral health education. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, equipment, and terminology, along with excellent communication skills to ensure a positive patient experience. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to maintain accurate medical records and utilize electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems effectively.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and patient examinations to promote optimal oral health.
Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
Educate patients on dental care best practices, including oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Assist in the management of medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and oral health education.
Operate and maintain dental equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
Utilize dental terminology accurately when documenting patient interactions and procedures.
Use EMR/EHR systems to document patient information, treatment notes, and x-ray results efficiently.
Skills
Proven experience in a dental clinic setting with strong patient care skills.
Proficiency in performing dental x-rays and understanding of radiographic techniques.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and education.
Knowledge of dental equipment operation and maintenance.
Familiarity with dental terminology, EMR/EHR systems, and medical records management.
Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient records accurately.
