Part-time position
1–2 days per week
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Flexible scheduling Monday–Thursday, with possible Fridays
Start date: April 2026 or sooner
Responsibilities
Perform preventive and periodontal hygiene services including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing (SRP)
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs
Take and develop dental X-rays while following infection control and aseptic protocols
Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques when needed
Maintain strict infection control, HIPAA compliance, and safety standards
Help create a positive, comfortable, and professional patient experience
Work collaboratively with doctors and team members to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
Active California Registered Dental Hygienist license
Previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and periodontal care
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Passion for preventive dentistry and patient relationships
