Overview
Our office is located at: 248 Route 94 (next to Dairy Queen), Vernon, NJ. We are looking to cover a dental hygiene schedule on Wednesdays and some Friday mornings. Please feel free to stop in or reach out thru this site's message function. We have the ability to be flexible. with your schedule.
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology
Assess patient health history and vital signs to ensure safe treatment procedures
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and preventive care strategies
Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques to improve workflow efficiency
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control standards aligned with HIPAA compliance
Review and document medical and dental records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to healthcare regulations
Support patient assessment by evaluating dental health status and identifying potential issues requiring further treatment
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care delivery in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office environment
Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
Hands-on experience with dental equipment operation, including X-ray machines and other diagnostic tools
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures is preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, providing clear patient education on dental care practices
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including aseptic techniques and sterilization processes
