Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (Dentrix), documenting all procedures and patient interactions.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
Proficiency in Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and charting purposes.
Ability to take diagnostic dental x-ray and self evaluated for proper capturing.
Excellent communication skills with both the patients and the team.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including aseptic techniques and sterilization processes.
