More Than a Hygiene Position—Become Part of a Specialty Periodontal Team
DC Specialty is a premier periodontal and Dental Implant Specialty Practice serving the Washington, DC area. We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist who wants more than simply seeing patients and going home.
We’re searching for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, believes in exceptional patient care, and wants to become an integral part of a practice that is continually growing and improving.
This is a career opportunity and not just another hygiene job. We are looking for two hygienist for our growing office.
This is for a Hygienist looking for a part-time opportunity working 2 days and week, and a Hygienist looking for a full time opportunity 4 days a week and every other Friday.
Responsibilities
As part of our specialty periodontal practice, you’ll:
Provide comprehensive periodontal maintenance and supportive periodontal therapy.
Educate patients on periodontal disease, implant maintenance, prevention, and long-term oral health.
Partner closely with our periodontists to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
Build trust through compassionate, personalized care.
Help patients understand the importance of lifelong periodontal maintenance.
Collaborate with the entire team to continuously improve the patient experience.
Help improve workflows, patient education, and the overall hygiene program.
Skills
Loves educating patients and helping them achieve lifelong oral health.
Wants to build lasting relationships with patients.
Takes pride in providing exceptional periodontal therapy—not just “cleanings.”
Enjoys collaborating with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members.
Doesn’t want to spend the day isolated in a treatment room but enjoys contributing to the entire practice.
Is curious, motivated, and eager to continue learning.
Wants to help shape and grow our hygiene department.
Takes initiative and naturally looks for ways to improve patient care and office systems.
Believes that a great team accomplishes more together than individuals working alone.
Valid license to practice in Washington, DC
