Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with dental software. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional oral health services in a friendly, patient-focused environment. Bilingual abilities and experience with orthodontics or pediatrics are considered valuable assets. The position involves working closely with patients of all ages, ensuring comprehensive dental hygiene care while maintaining high standards of professionalism and patient comfort.
Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
Maintain accurate patient records using cleardent
Manage patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and treatment plans
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas according to IPAC standards
Qualifications
Valid provincial licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
Experience with cleardent preferred
Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse patient population
Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Professional demeanor with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
Schedule
Permanent part-time. Preferred service days are Wednesdays, Fridays, and alternate Saturdays (7 hours per weekday session; 5 hours per Saturday session)
In addition to the hourly rate, a performance bonus is available quarterly, based on achievement of defined clinical KPIs including appropriate case identification and referral, iTero scan utilization, patient reappointment rates, and patient satisfaction.
Pay: $45.00-$53.00 per hour
