Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment plans
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health
Take dental imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EDR (Electronic Dental Records) systems like Open Dental
Review dental records for completeness, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support dental coding accuracy for billing purposes
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification
Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental is highly desirable
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, documentation review processes, and dental coding standards to ensure compliance and accuracy

Pay: $44.00 - $50.00 per hour
