Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking two dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidates will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient dental office environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive team focused on delivering high-quality dental services. The position requires a professional with strong communication skills both written and verbal, a compassionate approach, and proficiency with dental software and procedures.

Office hours are Monday - Wednesday 8 am - 4 pm , Thursday 11 am - 7 pm, and Closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Duties
Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing and fluoride application
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Write clear notes, during new patient complete oral exams and recalls regarding any recommended treatment or referrals from the dentist.

Take digital radiographs, BWs, PAs, PANs and intra oral photos
Maintain accurate patient records using Cleardent
Reprocess instruments and ensure operatory is up to IPAC standards
Manage schedule with daily chart audits, checking recalls/hygiene frequencies and booking patients back in the operatory
Support pediatric patients and assist with special needs cases when necessary
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards
Contribute to a welcoming environment by delivering excellent customer service
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing in the province Ontario
Experience with Cleardent or similar dental software preferred
Knowledge in general dentistry procedures and implants is preferred
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, but new grads are always welcome
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
Background in dental assisting or related roles is beneficial but not mandatory
Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment, as well as work individually
