Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote oral health and educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles. BONUS: Competitive compensation with additional earning potential! Our hygienists are eligible for an incentive bonus based on production, including additional compensation for production above an established monthly goal.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft.
Follow infection control protocols adhering to HIPAA regulations, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for all
Skills
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation review, and record management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
Skilled in infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and maintaining a sterile clinical environment
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly
Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation of medical records and treatment notes
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental office environment while maintaining attention to detail
