Registered Dental Hygienist with experience

Job Summary
In search of an experienced registered dental hygienist in a welcoming dental practice.

Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, and periodontal charting to maintain optimal oral health.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to their needs.

Manage dental imaging procedures such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR).

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Requirements
Valid Virginia licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with proven experience.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding standards.

Experience with dental imaging, vital signs measurement, and documentation review.

Ability to perform comprehensive patient care including assessment, education, and documentation review.

Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and aseptic techniques necessary for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
