Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term oral health.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort.
Take Xrays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all medical and dental records are up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of biohazard materials. Skills
Proficiency in dental software systems such as open dental for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on patient comfort, infection control, aseptic technique, and medical imaging procedures.
