Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring accurate positioning and image quality.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including documentation review and medical coding.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control standards aligned with healthcare regulations like HIPAA.
Monitor and operate dental equipment safely while adhering to sterilization procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical records management, appointment scheduling, and patient communication.
Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Experience
Proven experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic environment.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures.
Hands-on experience with dental x-ray technology, digital imaging, and EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable, including working with children in a pediatric dentistry setting.
Demonstrated ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of infection control and safety.
Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient engagement.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and medical records management.
