Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software Dentrix
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
Support orthodontic procedures and collaborate with the team on pediatric cases.
Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental assisting practices.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
Familiarity with dental software system Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications related to dentistry is beneficial.
A solid understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practices is essential.
