Reliable/ Motivated dental Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. We are seeking a team player who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment, and supporting the doctor efficiently throughout the day.

Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during general and restorative dental procedures
Prepare and set up operatories before each patient
Take dental X-rays and intraoral images as permitted by certification and state regulations
Assist with impressions, scans, fluoride, sealants, and other clinical procedures
Prepare and pass instruments efficiently during procedures
Maintain proper infection control and sterilization protocols
Disinfect and turn over operatories between patients
Properly process, bag, and sterilize instruments
Maintain adequate clinical supplies and communicate when supplies need to be ordered
Provide patients with post-operative instructions as directed by the doctor
Document clinical information accurately in Open Dental
Review the upcoming schedule and prepare appropriate operatories and materials
Follow all OSHA, CDC, infection-control, and office safety protocols
Maintain a professional, compassionate, and welcoming environment for patients
Work closely with the dentist, hygienist, and front-office team to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
Dental assisting experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
Current California dental assisting credentials/certifications as required for assigned duties
X-ray certification preferred/required as applicable
Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
Experience with Open Dental is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
Ability to multitask in a busy dental office
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Professional appearance and excellent patient-service skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 per week
