Dental Treatment Coordinator – Richmond Implant & Smile Studio
Overview
Richmond Implant & Smile Studio is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our advanced prosthodontic and implant-focused practice. This team member will serve as a vital link between patients and the clinical team, ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and an exceptional patient experience.

The ideal candidate has strong dental knowledge, experience with treatment planning and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient service. Experience in practices that perform All-on-4 and full-arch implant treatments is a significant plus. Bilingual abilities are also advantageous but not required.

This role will temporarily include responsibilities related to dental insurance verification to support efficient practice operations.

Key Responsibilities
Taking phone calls from leads and scheduling them for consultations. Following up with leads.

Temporarily oversee dental insurance verification, including benefit checks, authorization requests, and coordination of insurance-related documentation.

Verify insurance coverage and benefits using Dentrix Ascend (training provided).

Review, update, and maintain accurate patient records within Dentrix Ascend while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Present detailed treatment plans, clearly explaining procedures, timelines, costs, and financing options with empathy and professionalism.

Coordinate closely with clinical staff to support timely treatment delivery, especially for All-on-4 and full-arch implant workflows.

Assist with dental billing including.

Maintaining and updating patient ledgers.

Maintain organized and confidential filing systems for dental and medical records.

Perform administrative duties including typing, data entry, and managing office supplies.

Provide exceptional patient service, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and compassionate communication.

Assist with claims processing, billing inquiries, and collection efforts to support strong revenue cycle management.

Stay current on dental terminology, coding updates, and dental administrative best practices.

Qualifications & Experience
Prior experience in a dental office or healthcare setting required, with strong familiarity with dental terminology.

Experience in All-on-4 or full-arch implant practices is a major plus.

Proficiency with dental software preferred; Dentrix Ascend training will be provided.

Knowledge of dental/medical billing and insurance verification processes.

Strong computer skills, especially with Google Workspace.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.

Previous experience in front desk, treatment presentation, or medical administrative support is advantageous.

Exceptional customer service, documentation accuracy, and communication skills.

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.

Friday from 7:30 to 12:00 noon.
