Job Description
Cardiac/Medical/Surgical Step Down / 4 South Secretary
Welcome Home to Baxter Health’s 31-bed Cardiac Step-Down Unit, we are a family of highly-skilled caregivers, who provide optimal care to a diverse patient population. Our patient’s conditions range from low acuity to critically ill. We work together to treat individuals with cardiac acuities such as arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and myocardial infarction. Our patient population also includes those with respiratory emergencies requiring Bi-PAP, aggressive pulmonary physiotherapy, and high-level monitoring. In addition, we also interface with patients facing a multitude of acute and chronic disease processes. The 4 South Step Down Team is excited and ready to welcome you to our family!

Responsibilities:
Provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.
Communicates effectively via a variety of modalities with patients, visitors and facility staff and plays an integral role in communication across the continuum of care.
Functions as a resource to members of the health care team and is familiar with multiple BRMC resources.
Secretarial activities complement the patient care delivery model.
Carry out all aspects of the job using good judgement and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, and assumes responsibility for self-development within the role and participates in continuous improvement activities.
Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Previous experience preferred, but not required.
Other: Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills.
Safety Sensitive Designation:
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
