Job Description

Virginia Community Healthcare Association is looking for a Talented Physicians to support Richmond, VA communities. Here's a chance to do good work and support amazing people across the Capital. You’ll serve patients of all backgrounds while working alongside a team committed to improving health outcomes across Central VA.

Reports to the Dental Director

M-F 8-5 (some Mon-Tues hours extend to 7pm)

Pay range: $85,000-$125,000

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Triage: Perform patient triage for walk-ins, initiate appropriate care, and accurately document dental histories, lab procedures, and clinical observations.

Clinical Operations: Prepare patient care areas, assist with the seamless admission and discharge process, and handle vital office duties like reception and routing calls.

Emergency Readiness: Remain calm and ready to assist with or institute emergency measures if a patient experiences a sudden adverse development during treatment.

Compliance & Support: Practice in strict compliance with organization policies while taking on miscellaneous clinical and operational duties to support the dental team.

What You Bring:

People-First Mindset: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to inspire, support, and build trusted relationships with patients and staff alike.

Stress Tolerance: A proven ability to remain calm, tactful, and analytical during stressful situations, confrontations, or medical emergencies.

Organizational Skills: Strong decision-making, computer, and communication skills, with the ability to plan ahead and prioritize a busy clinic schedule.

Education & License: Bachelor’s degree in a directly related clinical field (no prior experience required) and a current Virginia Dental Hygienist license.

Health Screenings: Readiness to complete a pre-employment physical/medical history check and undergo annual TB and rubella screenings as required.
