Job Description
Well established general dental practice looking for a friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable dental receptionist
We are looking for someone for Saturdays 8am until close 3pm.
We are looking for a competent dental receptionist who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Experience: Warmly greet patients, manage the check-in and check-out process, and maintain a clean, welcoming waiting area.
Scheduling: Book, confirm, and reschedule appointments, while actively managing the dentist's calendar to maximize productivity.
Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance coverage, submit claims, and explain treatment estimates or collect co-payments from patients.
Communication: Answer incoming phone calls, address patient concerns, and route messages to the appropriate dental staff.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain and update patient medical records, manage specialist referrals, and order front desk and office supplies.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or GED; certification in medical or office administration is highly preferred.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with dental terminology and practice management software Dentrix
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Strict adherence to patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
