Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with electronic medical records and dental management software is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate record-keeping, and excellent customer service.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Tracker
Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately
Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
Collect payments, process billing, and handle financial transactions at the front desk
Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and correspondence
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Prepare treatment room schedules and assist in managing patient flow throughout the day
Skills
Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting
Proficiency with dental management software Tracker
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and office management procedures
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Strong administrative experience including appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance verification, posting and AR.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
