Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Spanish-speaking Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all clinical supplies are ready for use.
Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans accurately while adhering to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all documentation complies with HIPAA privacy regulations.
Provide patient care by explaining procedures in Spanish, taking vital signs, and addressing patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures to maintain clinical confidentiality policies and infection control standards.
Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed.
Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy to effectively assist with clinical documentation and patient education.
Requirements
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or oral surgery preferred.
Fluency in Spanish and English is required for effective communication with patients and team members.
Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus.
Certification or training in dental assisting, dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, or related fields preferred.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining strict infection control protocols.
Strong understanding of dental equipment operation including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in medical records management and medical coding practices.
