Sub Dental Hygienist

**Looking for a substitute hygienist for a maternity leave** September 15th - November 15th Availability days are Monday - Thursday Join our efficient and fun dental team as a Dental Hygienist. As a key member of our dental practice, you will help create positive patient experiences while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This office is family focused, locally-owned (non-corporate) and has two locations (Pandora and Leipsic Ohio). Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to develop personalized care plans. Apply dental sealants and aid the Doctor in anesthetizing patients. Take dental imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to foster informed decision-making. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic health record (Dentrix). Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment. Monitor vital signs and recognize signs of medical emergencies or complications during appointments. Uphold HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations (1 year min. preferred). Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting with familiarity in EMR systems - Dentrix (will train if needed). Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology. Experience with all ages preferred. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care. Competence in taking medical images and reviewing documentation for accuracy.
