Job Description
Dental Assistant – Surgical & Restorative
We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join a busy general dental practice with a strong surgical focus.
This is a hands-on clinical position for someone who is comfortable assisting with a wide variety of procedures. Our office performs implant dentistry, surgical extractions, bone grafting, crown and bridge, restorative dentistry, and routine general dental care.
The right candidate should be organized, dependable, able to anticipate the doctor's needs, and comfortable working efficiently during more involved procedures.
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting with implant placement, extractions, bone grafting, and other surgical procedures
Assisting with crown and bridge, restorative, and general dental procedures
Setting up surgical trays, implant components, materials, and equipment
Taking dental radiographs
Reviewing medical histories and recording vital signs
Providing pre-op and post-op instructions to patients
Sterilizing instruments and maintaining proper infection-control standards
Keeping operatories stocked, organized, and ready for treatment
Helping maintain an efficient clinical flow throughout the day
What We're Looking For
Previous dental assisting experience is required
Surgical dental assisting experience is strongly preferred
Implant and oral surgery experience is a major plus
Experience with crown and bridge procedures is also preferred
Good understanding of dental terminology and clinical procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced practice
Reliable, professional, and able to work well with both patients and the dental team
We are looking for someone who wants to be actively involved in patient care and continue building their skills in both surgical and restorative dentistry.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
