JOB TITLE: Dental Assistant – Periodontics & Implant Surgery (4-Day Work Week)
JOB TYPE: Full-time
PAY: $30–$34 per hour (depending on experience)
SCHEDULE: Monday–Thursday, 6:45 AM–3:00 PM (no nights, no weekends, no Fridays)
LOCATION: Austin, TX 78759 (North MoPac / 360 area) — in person
ABOUT US
Austin Periodontal Associates is an established periodontal and dental implant
practice in north Austin. We're a small, close-knit team focused on excellent
patient care in a calm, professional, and supportive specialty setting.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join us
chairside. You'll assist with periodontal and implant surgery, IV sedation
monitoring, and day-to-day clinical care. This is a great fit for an assistant
who enjoys surgical dentistry and wants to grow in a specialty practice — we're
happy to train the right person on our procedures and sedation protocols.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist chairside during periodontal and implant surgery and non-surgical treatment
- Set up and break down operatories; sterilize and organize instruments
- Take digital x-rays and chart treatment, medications, and vitals
- Monitor patients during IV sedation (training provided)
- Prepare surgical trays, lab cases, and post-op materials
- Keep operatories stocked and help manage supplies and inventory
- Provide warm, professional patient care from greeting to check-out
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), or the ability to obtain one
- Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA)
- Chairside experience preferred; surgical, oral surgery, or perio a plus
- Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced surgical setting
- Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail

- Paid time off — up to 18 days per year (after 90 days)
