About Us
We are an established, state-of-the-art periodontal and surgical practice seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who values high-quality patient care in a private practice setting.
Schedule: 3–4 days per week (8-hour shifts)
What You'll Do
Assist the periodontist during periodontal and oral surgical procedures, including:
Dental implant placement
Tooth extractions
Bone grafting
Gum grafting and periodontal surgery
Crown lengthening and other surgical procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments using proper sterile techniques
Anticipate the doctor's needs to ensure efficient, seamless procedures
Educate and prepare patients before and after treatment
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, and infection-control protocols
Help create an exceptional patient experience from start to finish
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years of dental assisting experience
At least 1 year of periodontal or oral surgery assisting experience
Current Dental Radiology (X-ray) Certification
Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Dependable, professional, and positive team player
Fluent in English
