Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Surgical Office Receptionist to join our team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your energetic approach will help coordinate patient flow, manage appointments, and support the clinical staff with administrative tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a busy surgical practice while developing your skills in medical office operations.

Responsibilities
Book in-hospital surgical cases
MSP billing and 3rd party private insurance billing
End of day, week, month and year financial reconciliations
Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression of the practice
Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls to appropriate personnel or departments
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Cleardent
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical histories with accuracy
Maintain organized front desk operations, including filing, data entry, and handling correspondence with referring offices. Experience with medical terminology is preferred.

Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete
Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and managing communication between patients and providers requirements
Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting with strong familiarity with dental office procedures
Proficiency in Cleardent and MSP billing is highly preferred
Solid understanding of medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures and patient care
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, staff, and referring offices
Prior experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling front desk responsibilities
