Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Temporary Dentist to provide exceptional dental care during a maternity leave coverage period from mid-November through mid-January. Duties
Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canal therapy with precision and care.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
Utilize dental software such as Open Dental for efficient medical documentation and record-keeping.
Execute dental implant placements, oral surgeries, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments as needed.
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Interpret medical imaging and dental radiographs to support accurate diagnosis and treatment strategies.
Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, treatment options, and post-care instructions to foster trust and understanding.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software platforms including Open Dental for managing patient records effectively.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis principles.
Expertise in various dental procedures such as extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Experience in general dentistry with a focus on patient care and client communication in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting.
Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging technologies.
Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver accurate dental diagnoses aligned with state healthcare regulations.
Excellent organizational skills for managing medical records and documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
