Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Temporary Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. You will assist with chairside procedures, manage patient records, and ensure infection control protocols are meticulously followed. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, providing efficient chairside support.
Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Identalsoft , ensuring accurate documentation of medical and dental histories.
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation for patients requiring medical clearance or special care.
Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist when needed, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow smoothly.
Maintain infection control standards by following CDC guidelines, handling 3D scanners and other advanced imaging tools with precision.
Requirements
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical coding and documentation is a plus.
Certification or training in X-ray techniques, infection control, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or pediatrics.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics when necessary.
Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment; previous dental clinic experience is highly valued.
