Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Temporary Dental Hygienist to join our dental team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing professional dental hygiene services in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Your expertise will help promote oral health, educate patients on proper dental care, and ensure smooth clinical operations.
Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup effectively.
Conduct initial patient assessments, review medical history, and update medical records accurately within Eaglesoft.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed, including proper sterilization of instruments and operatory.
Document all procedures thoroughly, review documentation for accuracy, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Skills
Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization processes within a dental setting.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and teamwork within a busy clinical environment.
Licensed registered dental hygienist in the state of Virginia
