Temporary Dental Hygienist – Maternity Leave Coverage

Job Summary
Vagenas Dental in Brockton, MA is seeking a reliable and experienced Temporary Dental Hygienist to provide maternity leave coverage for approximately 26 weeks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a professional dental environment, with the potential for continued employment following the coverage period. The role involves delivering high-quality dental hygiene services in a busy, patient-focused practice.

Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Take dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning.

Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

Assist in maintaining a clean and sterile clinical environment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.

Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.

Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care delivery.

Address patient questions or concerns professionally and compassionately during appointments.

Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is required.

Knowledge of current dental hygiene practices, procedures, and infection control standards.

Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Certification or licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Massachusetts is necessary.

This position requires a dedicated professional committed to providing exceptional patient care during the maternity leave coverage period. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM, starting September 24, 2026, with on-site parking available for convenience.

Expected hours: No more than 24.0 per week
