Job Overview
Lacamas Dental is looking for a temporary dental hygienist to help cover our hygiene schedule while we search for a permanent team member.
We are hoping to find someone available for consistent days over the next month, with the possibility of additional coverage if needed. This could possibly lead to a full time position.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including Scaling/Root Planning and Periodontal maintenance.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure infection control during all procedures.
Assist the dentist during various procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
Operate dental equipment and instruments safely and effectively.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, with familiarity in using Dentrix being a plus.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
Aseptic technique proficiency is essential to maintain a sterile environment.
Previous experience assisting in dental procedures is advantageous.
We are looking for someone friendly, reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently with a supportive team.
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
