Job Overview
Dr. Jerry Sanchez has served the Pleasanton community for 35 years, building a warm, collaborative practice with a fantastic, loyal patient base. We are a high-quality, patient-focused team dedicated to providing top-tier oral healthcare. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to cover an upcoming leave during September and part of October.
Whether you are looking to work 1 day a week or full 4-day workweeks, we are happy to work with your schedule to make this temporary arrangement a seamless fit!
Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to promote optimal oral health.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort.
Assess vital signs and review medical histories to support comprehensive patient evaluations.
Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention, aseptic techniques, and general dentistry best practices to uphold safety standards.
Pay: From $72.00 per hour
