Duties
Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, and root canal therapy with precision and care.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans aligned with best practices in dental diagnosis.
Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate documentation of medical records and treatment notes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Execute advanced procedures such as prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants when required.
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols rigorously to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care instructions clearly and compassionately.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless workflow using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical imaging, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis to support accurate clinical decision-making.
Ensure meticulous documentation of all treatments performed in accordance with medical records standards and legal requirements.
Adhere strictly to confidentiality policies regarding patient information under HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a licensed dentist with current certification to practice dentistry in the designated region.
Proven experience in general dentistry within a clinical or dental office setting; prior experience in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is advantageous.
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and healthcare diagnosis procedures.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws governing patient privacy and medical documentation standards.
Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work efficiently within a team environment using four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow.
Knowledge of medical imaging technology and anatomy relevant to dental diagnostics is preferred.
