Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team during a medical leave period. Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient care
Take and develop X-ray images, including 3D scans, while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques
Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic to accurately document patient information and medical history
Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance, and managing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures when necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized
Skills
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures
Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics environments
Ability to operate X-ray machines and 3D scanners while maintaining safety standards
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical documentation practices for safeguarding patient information
Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate appointments and patient inquiries effectively
Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes in a clinical setting
