Requirements:
State License as a Registered Dental Hygienist
Up-to-date with OSHA & Infection Control within the past year
Active CPR/BLS
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Strong computer skills
Prepare and administer treatment plans
Screening for oral cancer, and assessing levels of periodontal disease
Educate patients about good oral hygiene including plaque control and postoperative instructions
Document services by recording dental histories and recording visits in patient’s chart
