Traveling Dental Assistant

Join Our Pediatric Dental Team!

We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and flexible Dental Assistant to join our team in a unique full-time traveling role supporting multiple pediatric dental offices in the Jacksonville area.

This position is ideal for a Dental Assistant who enjoys variety, is comfortable working with different teams and doctors, and can confidently step into different offices and help wherever coverage is needed.

About the Role
This is a full-time position with a schedule that will rotate between our offices, including:
Weaver & Stratton Pediatric Dentistry
Seaside Children’s Dentistry
River City Pediatric Dentistry
Valley Ridge Pediatric Dentistry
Rather than being assigned to just one location, this Dental Assistant will serve as a floating team member, traveling between offices based on staffing needs and scheduled coverage.

The schedule may vary from week to week depending on the needs of each office. Candidates should be comfortable traveling between locations and adapting to different office environments, teams, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
Assist doctors with pediatric dental procedures and patient care
Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by training and certification
Sterilize and maintain instruments according to office protocols
Provide chairside assistance during procedures
Help offices maintain smooth patient flow during busy days
Step in to provide coverage when an office is short staffed
Work effectively with different doctors, Dental Assistants, and office teams
Follow all company policies and clinical protocols
Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
What We're Looking For
Previous Dental Assisting experience is required
Pediatric dental experience is strongly preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment
Able to work confidently with different doctors and teams
Flexible and willing to travel between multiple office locations
Dependable and comfortable with changing daily assignments based on business needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Professional, positive, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed
Ability to work a full-time schedule across multiple locations
