Traveling Orthodontic Dental Assistant (1 year exp)

The Role
We’re looking for a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant to support multiple SmileCrew locations. Your main focus is clinical ortho assisting, helping our team deliver fast, high-quality same-day starts and exceptional patient care.

We are a fast-paced, modern orthodontic practice focused on efficiency, digital workflows, same-day starts, and creating an outstanding patient experience. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, adaptable, coachable, and brings positive energy into every office they support.

Schedule & Travel
4 days per week
7:30 AM until 5:00 PM (or until duties are completed)
Traveling role across multiple SmileCrew Orthodontics locations including Buda, Leander, Marble Falls, and North Austin
Travel schedules are communicated in advance
Mileage reimbursement provided for certain locations

Key Responsibilities
Assist with orthodontic procedures including:
Bracket placement and adjustments
Same-day starts
Impressions and digital scans (iTero)
Panoramic and ceph X-rays
Invisalign assistance
Set up and break down ortho stations efficiently
Maintain patient comfort, engagement, and education throughout visits
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and orthodontic procedures
Maintain accurate digital patient records (Cloud9 preferred, not required)
Bring positive energy and teamwork to every SmileCrew location
Qualifications
Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license
1+ year of orthodontic experience
Experience with same-day starts preferred
Comfortable with technology and digital systems
Cloud9 experience is a plus
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations
