About Us
Mitten Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics aims to provide the highest level of pediatric dental care for kids of all ages-whatever their needs-in a fun, positive and safe environment.

The Treatment Coordinator is a key leader in the patient journey at Mitten Kids Dentistry. This role goes far beyond scheduling- it is centered on building trust, educating families, and guiding them confidently through their child’s treatment plan. As a Treatment Coordinator, you serve as the bridge between our clinical team and our families. You ensure parents fully understand recommended treatment, financial options, insurance benefits, and next steps. Your ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and confidently is essential to helping families move forward with care.
This position is full time: Monday-Thursday 7:30-3:30, Friday 7:30-2pm.

A Day in the Life of a Treatment Coordinator:
On any given day at Mitten Kids you can expect to encounter the following:
Arriving at 7:30-7:40am to be ready to go at 7:50am for our morning huddle with the team
Phones turn on and Patient care begins at 8:00am
Interacting with parents regarding their child(ren) to help them feel welcome and safe
Interacting with other offices to collaborate on patient care
Collaborating with 3 other driven treatment coordinators, a large administrative and clinic team to assist with making the day run smoothly
Presenting and reviewing treatment plans in an eloquent manner
Educating parents, as necessary, regarding insurance, their responsibility and basic terminology
Collecting copays and balances with ease, following specific protocols and procedures
Verifying insurance eligibility and communicating this clearly to parents either in person or on the phone
Various other tasks to collaborate with a large administrative team and clinic team to assist with making the day run smoothly

You have exceptional communication skills with the ability to demonstrate these skills in both face-to-face and electronic formats including but not limited to telephone, texting and email with special attention to detail and accuracy
You are able to manage sometimes difficult parent conversations
You have an ability to prioritize and plan ahead
You demonstrate a positive attitude, self-motivation, organization and resourcefulness
You accomplish tasks and projects in a timely manner that allows to assist in day-to-day operations
You are computer savvy and able to type a minimum of 50 wpm
You are driven by results, solutions and impact
You are looking to work 5 days per week
You would like to work in our Cascade-Grand Rapids office

Providing a detailed office manual with step by step guidelines of our procedures
