Mission of a Treatment Coordinator
The Treatment Coordinator reports to the Practice Administrator. The mission of the role is to create an exceptionally welcoming patient experience that puts our guests at ease, builds relationships, and sets the stage for a positive and productive appointment. The Treatment Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining a collections rate of 95% or higher. The Treatment Coordinator will help create a distinctively different experience in dental care and will represent and maintain the Dental Excellence brand of friendliness, professionalism, and stellar service. The results of this position will assist with industry-leading patient net promoter scores and a high percentage of patient referrals.
Key Responsibilities
Become 5 star certified to receive new patient phone calls
Responsible for the new patient process for all new patients
Taking x-rays and using intra-oral camera
Patient education and discussing treatment plans
Being familiar with patients benefits and helping them maximize them/insurance benefit checks
Financial presentations for any treatment, presenting payment options, and effectively work with patients to secure financial arrangements and take payments
Proper allocation of payments
Being knowledgeable and help patients with financial options available
Following sequence for unscheduled appointments
Report numbers to practice administrator
Explain, promote and adhere to practice payment policies and procedures
Support the business team member in duties they need assistance with
Other responsibilities that may not be listed such as but not limited to assisting with marketing needs
