Job Description
North Shore Dental Group — North Vancouver, BC
Make a Difference in Every Patient’s Visit
North Shore Dental Group is looking for a friendly, organized, and confident Treatment Coordinator to join our team!
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with people, is comfortable in a fast-paced dental environment, and enjoys a role that combines reception, patient care, treatment coordination, and insurance follow-up.
You’ll be one of the key faces of the practice — helping patients feel welcomed when they arrive, supported throughout their treatment journey, and confident about their dental care and financial options.
What You’ll Be Doing
Front Desk & Reception
Warmly greet patients and create a welcoming, professional first impression
Answer phones, emails, and patient inquiries
Manage patient check-in and check-out
Schedule and confirm appointments
Process payments and provide receipts
Ensure patient records and forms are complete and up to date
Coordinate communication between patients, dentists, hygienists, and the rest of the team
Assist with general administrative duties to keep the front desk running smoothly
Treatment Coordination
Present and explain proposed treatment plans to patients
Help patients understand recommended treatment, timelines, and next steps
Follow up with patients who have outstanding or unscheduled treatment
Coordinate appointments for larger or multi-appointment treatment plans
Track treatment acceptance and follow up appropriately
Build strong relationships with patients and help remove barriers to receiving care
Insurance & Financial Coordination
Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims and pre-determinations
Communicate with insurance companies regarding outstanding claims and treatment estimates
Help patients understand their insurance coverage and estimated out-of-pocket costs
Follow up on outstanding insurance information and documentation
Assist patients with financial questions and payment options
What We’re Looking For
Previous dental reception, treatment coordination, or dental administration experience
Strong understanding of dental terminology and treatment plans
Experience with dental insurance and claims is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable discussing treatment and finances with patients
Confident, professional, and approachable
Able to multitask and stay calm in a busy dental environment
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Experience with dental software such as Tracker is an asset
The Ideal Person
You’re someone who can welcome a patient with a smile, answer the phone, coordinate a treatment plan, chase down an insurance claim, and keep everything organized — sometimes all within the same hour!
You genuinely enjoy helping people and understand that excellent dental care isn’t just about what happens in the operatory. The patient experience at the front desk matters just as much.
If you’re personable, proactive, detail-oriented, and looking for a role where you can build meaningful relationships with patients while being an important part of a great dental team, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
Benefits:
