Overview
Dentistry of San Antonio is seeking a skilled and compassionate Weekend Dentist to join our team, working Saturdays and Sundays. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver comprehensive dental care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment during weekend hours. As our Weekend Dentist, you will provide high-quality general dentistry services — including preventive, restorative, and emergency treatments — ensuring every patient receives compassionate, thorough care. Your skills in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics will be essential to meeting diverse patient needs while upholding the highest standards of infection control and medical documentation. Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques.
Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics with precision and aseptic technique.
Utilize dental practice management software (Open Dental) to document medical records accurately and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Conduct pediatric dentistry procedures with a focus on comfort and safety for young patients.
Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental wellness.
Maintain strict infection control protocols and adhere to OSHA standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Assist with dental fabrication procedures as needed and support overall clinic operations during weekend hours.
Qualifications
Valid Texas dental license with current credentials to practice as a licensed Dentist.
Proven experience in general dentistry, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and root canal therapy.
Proficiency with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and infection control practices.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate effectively.
Commitment to HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of medical records.
