We are looking for candidates that live within a 50-mile radius of this job's location.
We may make exceptions for jobs located in Montana and Oregon.
Compensation: Competitive per exam compensation.
*Dentist must have own office.*
Contract Position to Perform VA Compensation, Pension and Disability Dental Examinations
Must have your own DENTAL OFFICE.
Your office must be at a commercial location (not home based)
Must have your own malpractice insurance (where you are the named insured)
Must have commercial liability insurance for your practice location
Must maintain an active, unrestricted DDS or DMD license
Must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience
Responsibilities:
Perform VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) Dental Examinations on Veterans
Perform Dental, TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint), and other assigned dental disability examinations
Complete Independent Medical Opinions (IMOs) when requested
Complete a thorough review of digital medical and dental records
Conduct comprehensive oral and dental evaluations based on specific disability claims
Review diagnostic imaging and supporting documentation when applicable
Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required examination documentation
Submit information through a secure online portal for VA review as part of a compensation and pension claim
All examinations will take place at approved dental offices with proper equipment and internet access
Must be able to perform examinations a minimum of 1 to 3 days per week
Perform these examinations with a flexible schedule that works alongside your current patient schedule
Qualifications:
Doctorate degree from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA).
Licensed Dentist (DDS or DMD) (1099 Independent Contractor)
Active, unrestricted dental license in the state of practice
One year of dental experience or previous VA examination experience is preferred
Design your own schedule (7 days a week; weekends encouraged)
Availability of at least 3 to 7 days per month is preferred
Preferred Experience:
Performing Veteran disability examinations
Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations
Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs)
Workers' compensation or disability evaluations
Previous VA employment or experience working with Veterans
